Ash Wednesday
Father said don't give up candy for Lent; eat all the candy you want during Lent. Instead, if you have been away from the church, then come back. Get to church on Sunday. God throws a big party at every Mass and he brings us all gifts. If we don't show up at the party, how can we receive our gifts?

Cindy, Though I love my friends and singing in the choir, I feel that a lot of the spirituality is found downstairs as I experienced at the 8 am mass. We miss a lot being set away from the mass. Which "Father" was at the 7:30 mass? I agree! I would never give up candy. You are suppose to give up something that would benefit you and all around you… The absence of chocolate would bring out a terrible creature inside me, whom I keep tamed with chocolate. lol Your Fan, Ginni
